We've written about it before: the northern part of the Dominican Republic has an enormous amount to offer! In one of our recent articles, we already talked about all the things you should visit while in Puerto Plata. Today Cindy shares with you her favorite hotels if you're planning a trip to Sosúa and Cabarete.

You'll find everything: From luxury to the most unique glamping experience!

Kibayo B&B, Cabarete

When you go on vacation, it is important to fully unwind and experience a relaxing stay. At Kibayo*, from your arrival, you will return to a peaceful piece of nature. This is because the hotel is surrounded by a river, you have yoga and meditation nooks and the entire atmosphere of the rooms are with a bohemian finish.

For breakfast, you get whatever the kitchen has available on that day. So it's not like you can order what you want yourself. However, you can always pass on allergens so they take them into account. In the day you can go for lunch or dinner in the nearby restaurants of Cabarete itself.

The whole "go with the flow" concept and peaceful environment made us feel completely at home. So I will definitely be back soon!

The Ocean Club, Sosúa

Can it all be a little more luxurious for you? Do you like modern and timeless designs? Then The Ocean Club Casa Norte* is the ideal accommodation for you! Located on a beautiful bay in Sosúa, you will find yourself in one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever had the pleasure of visiting in the Dominican Republic.

From the warm welcome, to the experience at the different pools, their spa in collaboration with L'Occitane and their cuisine, everything was completely on point! They also have a private beach where you can moor your boat, do sports activities or just completely unwind in the hammocks by the palm trees. And if, like me, you love sunsets: be sure to go in their jacuzzis that are overlooking the sea. In fact, in the evening they light the fire pits. Super exclusive and romantic!

Greenland Bubble Glamping, Cabarete

If adventure is in your blood, then no doubt you will have stayed at a Glamping before. Or it's on your to-do list! At Greenland Bubble Glamping*, however, they take it a step further: you can stay in your own bubble (literally), overlooking the beautiful stars.

Whether you come with your whole family or romantically as a couple, they have 5 bubbles to suit every need. Inside your room you have a very minimalist but beautifully finished space, with private bathroom and garden. The photo at the very top of this article shows my own outdoor bathtub.

The location is a 15-minute drive from Cabarete town, is surrounded by beautiful scenery with mountain views and and it is truly a once in a lifetime adventure! Just the breakfast made with local and freshly cultivated products is an experience in itself!

Casa Veintiuno, Sosúa

Do you like a family atmosphere and small-scale hotels? Then Casa Veintiuno* in Sosúa is your new favorite address. The owners, Marc and Saskia, are two Belgian entrepreneurs with a heart of gold. It's like coming into their home and getting the warmest welcome!

During the day you can go there by the pool to relax for a while, or you can go to the beach. In fact, this boutique hotel is a five-minute walk from the beach in Sosúa. In the evening, you can visit their in-house restaurant. Their cuisine is also the best in the whole city! Even people come all the way from Cabarete and Puerto Plata to enjoy their delicious food! You will love it!
