Do you love a shop-in-shop concept? Then you're going to love this hot spot. That's because Flor de Café is a cozy flower boutique, coffee shop and restaurant in downtown Santo Domingo.


Besides fun interior accessories, this coffee shop offers a variety of healthy snacks, coffee, smoothies and delicious breakfasts to take away or to enjoy in Flor de Café itself. They are mainly known for their freshly baked coffee cakes, delicious waffles (even with chicken!) and fresh smoothies.

#3 Café SBG, Blue Mall

Fancy a shopping getaway where you can discover the capital's finest stores? The Blue Mall shopping center, located near the famous Piantini district, offers stores such as Zara, Oysho, Victoria Secrets, Nespresso, MAC Cosmetics and many more. Besides shopping, you can also go there for a cozy breakfast at Café SBG, located on the ground floor, right across the Louis Vuitton Store.


Café SBG is mainly known for its sophisticated cuisine, and their bakery also scores points! Without a doubt, try the Croissant Nutella combined with their homemade juice of pina and mint. This is the perfect way to start your shopping day.

Let's talk about coffee. Because Dominican coffee is absolutely delicious and also this one you must have tasted during your trip through the capital, too. One of the most famous coffee spots for this is Casa Barista & Co, located in the colonial city of Santo Domingo. They have a second location in Piantini, close to the Blue Mall shopping center. So possibly you can also combine your visit with a shopping trip. But in this article we focus on their location in the historic city.


Casa Barista & Co is specialized in coffee and strive for high-quality coffee preparation.
