The region of Puerto Plata, Sosúa and Cabarete has been known to tourists for decades. And even though less frequent airlines fly into Puerto Plata airport from Europe than Punta Cana or Santo Domingo, more and more lovers of the island are finding their way north. And for good reasons! Not only is their range of hotels and nature great there, you'll also find the best restaurants. Including Casa Veintiuno. And we tell you why they are at the top!

Discover unique flavor combinations made of quality products

Casa Veintiuno* is an indispensable and well known get-away in the region. The boutique Bed and Breakfast hotel, which has three rooms, brings you a family atmosphere combined with luxury and tranquility. During the day you can go there by the pool to relax for a while, or you can go to the beach. In fact, this boutique hotel is a five-minute walk from the beach in Sosúa. And you can additionally enjoy excellent cuisine, even if you are not staying at the hotel.

They cook with daily fresh ingredients

At the edge of the pool by candlelight, or cozy in their open-air restaurant, you can visit from Wednesday to Sunday, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., their restaurant to enjoy an intimate and cozy dinner. Both as a hotel guest as a visitor of the region.

Serving only quality products and fresh ingredients daily, their menu gives you a mix of European and Belgian dishes. In fact, the owners, Marc and Saskia, are of Belgian origin and found their home in the city of Sosúa. Their love and passion for the culinary world brings unique flavor combinations to the table. So that you live an amazing gastronomic experience when you come for dinner!

For example, on the menu card you will find dishes such as: Steak Tartare (yes, in our well-known Belgian way with fries!), Tuna on the grill with sesame seeds, Shrimp with Thai curry sauce, trio of tuna,... and so much more. It's all delicious! And finally: for dessert you can enjoy a homemade chocomousse made of real Belgian chocolate and ravioli of pineapple and crème brûlée. They have many other desserts, but these are the absolute best and our favorites!

Besides the regular menu, then can vary due to the range of fresh ingredients, they also have delicious suggestions. Feel free to ask about them when you visit!

Breakfast and lunch for guests

During your stay at the Bed and Breakfast, breakfast is served daily for guests. An extensive breakfast even that will get your day started full of energy!

Thus, you will be served a plate full of delicious and local fruits (melon, mango, passion fruit, pineapple,...), a bread basket with fresh bread and delicious croissants, a board with toppings such as ham, cheeses and speculoos spread, also known worldwide as biscoff. So Belgian and delicious! Finally, you can also ask for an omelet and wake up with a cup of illy coffee.

On the days when the restaurant is closed, you can visit the many other quality restaurant and dining spots that the region has. Either way, you will never be left with an empty stomach!
